I was looking at a NetZero home plan two years ago when I was referred to Wytek construction by the designer. Dan seemed really nice and very knowledgeable in energy efficient homes. It took me 2 years to relocate to Tampa. I contacted Dan in February 2013 and I told him I was ready to move forward with building my custom home. We met immediately for consultation and he asked if I had my home plan which I did not. I showed him two different ones I was considering online but needed customizing. He told me that he would design the home plans for just a thousand more than the online price and we could customize it however I wanted. He also asked me to pay $5000 for pre-construction services but I opted to wait til the plans were finalized. I paid 20% down and the preliminary drawings which were to take one week were not delivered until 3 weeks later. We then scheduled a meeting for the second drawings and I received an email that he needed emergency surgery and I wished him a speedy recovery. 1 month went by and I did not hear from him. I sent him an email and he said I am now back in the office and we can schedule a second meeting. I told him that I did not want to use him as my builder any longer, however I would continue completing the house plans. He sent me an email stating he would not complete the plans and all I paid him for was the preliminary drawing which he delivered. He wasted my money and my time, he is a liar and a crook. I would not recommend Wytek Construction to anyone. I am now filing in small claims court for a full refund.
