- Uhuru Furniture & Collectibles is a fundraising institution of the African People's Education & Defense Fund. (APEDF) APEDF's mission is defend the human rights of the African (Black) community and to build institutions and programs to address the disparities in health, health care, economic development, education and social justice faced by the African community. We offer free pick up of donations which are tax deductible. We accept gently used sofas, chairs, dressers, tables, dining room furniture, living room furniture, bedroom furniture, pianos, hot tubs, collectibles, antiques, etc. We also clean out estates. We have many volunteer opportunities as well. Including distribution of posters, cards & door hangers. People can get court or school appointed community service hours here.
