America used to be a place of diversity where people were hard-working, kind-hearted, compassionate, sought justice and fairness for everyone passionately, cheered for the underdog, and where our first president was most famous for never telling a lie. That is what made us great.
But something happened that changed everything. Fear was used to scare us into forgetting our priorities and for blaming each other for the effects of the evolution of America. And for forgetting who we are. Trump makes some valid complaints and he gets us pissed off. That is his great talent. But his solutions are without mercy, compassion, humanity, He is a wrecking ball that has little regard for people who are in the way.
I do not know the best answers to our the issues brought up, but I do know that we need to come at the issues from a point of caring about humanity. This is not who we are. Do not let it be who we become. Fear should not be our rallying cry.
Below are some of the points that have been used to divide us, and I submit our future depends on whether we choose, as Albert Einstein said, "to believe we live in a loving world or one to be feared." Our problems need to be addressed, but first with the priority of compassion, and not fear. After all, this is supposed to be the land of the brave.
