Company description
Thompson-Mathis Metal was established in 1962 by Davis Thompson, who supplied sheet metal for fabrication shops, HVAC and sign businesses. In 1993 when Davis was ready to retire, John Mathis, a long time family friend purchased the company, added gutter products to the inventory and shortly afterward acquired The Dieckmann Company to sell downspout elbows nationally. In 2004, Elizabeth Mathis took over the family company, purchased K-style and Half-round gutter machines, hired and trained employees to do metal fabrication, and began marketing custom roof accessories.
Thompson-Mathis now carries a full warehouse of flat sheet stock in steel, bonderized steel, cold rolled steel, painted steel, stainless, Revere copper and painted and mill finish aluminum. In addition to carrying Berger Bros. gutter accessories, Thompson’s manufactures Half-round and K-style gutter cut to length, custom box gutters and downspouts, an array of conductor boxes, and specialty residential gutters. We fabricate an assortment of roof accessories including chimney caps, dormers, finials, custom flashing, vents, louvers and scuppers. We also cover table tops and bar tops with metal and make vent-a-hoods for restaurants and residential properties.
