- Tennessee Wesleyan, a baccalaureate institution serving traditional and non-traditional learners on campuses in Athens, TN, and in west Knoxville, prides itself on providing a quality education in a caring atmosphere. We have small classes (average of 13), a rich academic tradition, a strong yet ecumenical church connection, and particular strengths in the liberal arts, business, nursing and teacher education. Tennessee Wesleyan students take service seriously as they give back to the community through mentoring, tutoring and a range of service learning opportunities. The college develops strong student-athletes as part of the Appalachian Athletic Conference of the NAIA.
