Company description
In this city’s diverse tea culture, we want to present the essence of Japanese tea culture whether you are Angelinos or just visiting town. The name Tea Master is meant to be open ended. While we seek mastery with the products in our café, preparing tea and tea products for maximum enjoyment, we also invite you to be the tea master. Japanese tea has been sold out of the same storefront for over a decade, with the café portion of the business opening in 2014. A former employee took over the location in 2016, rebranding it as Tea Master and opening in November of that year. The shop’s owner, Daigoro San, is a native of Tokyo and a student of the Japanese tea ceremony’s Edosenke school.
