Correct folding proteins play critical roles in maintaining cell and body health. While some proteins will aggregation in a misfolded state resulting in diseases influenced by mutations, environments, aging or other unclear reasons. For example, several neurodegenerative diseases, cancers, and type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) are caused by these misfolding or misregulated proteins. However, these potential targets are undruggable by traditional small molecular inhibitors.
