No Amplified Music, No DJ's or Bands. Catering is allowed at Shelter. Caterers are required to pay service charge upon entering. Pets are allowed in the campground and all trails outside of day-use areas. Pet must be leashed at all times. Pet are allowed in the historic area and day-use area after Labor Day to Memorial Day weekend. Service Charges: Deer Creek Picnic Area is $2.00 per vehicle (Maryland Residents), $3.00 per vehicle (Out of State). This charge will be collected at the park on the day of arrival. ALCOHOL POLICY EFFECTIVE 11/1/2009: THE CONSUMPTION OR POSSESSION OR AN OPEN CONTAINER OF AN ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE WILL BE PROHIBITED IN ALL STATE PARK AREAS WITH THE EXCEPTION OF INTERIOR AREAS OF FULL-SERVICE CABINS & MOTORHOMES. PERMITS MAY BE ISSUED UPON REQUEST BY THE PARK MANAGER FOR SPECIAL EVENTS OPERATING UNDER A USE AGREEMENT. ALCOHOL PERMIT: ALCOHOL PERMITS WILL ONLY BE ISSUED THROUGH A RESERVATION FOR A DESIGNATED SHELTER, OR OTHER APPROVED FACILITY. A $35 FEE WILL BE CHARGED FOR EACH ALCOHOL PERMIT. PERMITS MAY BE REVOKED FOR CAUSE BY PARK MANAGER, THEIR DESIGNEE OR A NATURAL RESOURCES POLICE OFFICER. ADDITIONAL ALCOHOL POLICY INFO: http://www.dnr.maryland.gov/publiclands/ The Park is open 9:00 am until Sunset. All Maryland State Parks are Trash Free. Shelter users are responsible for removing all trash from park at end of day. Bring large trash bags for removal of your trash. Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. 2010 Camping Season: Effective September 6, 2010, the campground will be closed for the remainder of the 2010 camping season due to bathhouse renovations. Alerts and Important Information: Notes Park has access to Deer Creek and Susquehanna River for water activities that include tubing, canoeing, kayaking, and fishing; all at your own risk. The park is approximately 35 miles north of Baltimore. Take I-95 north or south to Route 155, exit 89. Proceed west on Route 155 to Route 161. Turn right on Route 161 and then right on Rock Run Road.
