Michael Vines established Structural Engineering & Inspections in 2000 to provide structural engineering and building science services to the residential community in the Middle Tennessee area. Since that time we have worked with thousands of homeowners, home builders, renovation contractors, architects and real estate professionals. Our staff has assisted in evaluating suspected structural damage or deficiencies, reviewed framing for compliance with local building code requirements, designed structural framing and foundations for renovations and new construction and evaluated water infiltration problems for residential structures.
SE&I was established to fulfill the need for professional and ethical consulting service in the growing housing market. Our goal has always been to raise the standard of care for residential engineering consulting services, and to bring a level of service that is common in commercial consulting and design to the residential market.
SE&I is increasingly involved in commercial building design and renovation. Our professional engineers have extensive experience in commercial design from historic building renovation to multi-story concrete and steel framed buildings. If you are considering the purchase, or construction, of a new commercial building our staff would be happy to assist you.
