St. Peter of Alcantara School, located in Port Washington, serves children ranging from pre-school through grade eight. The cornerstone of St. Peter's is its administration and faculty's dedicated belief in the teaching of family values and Roman Catholic values. Each grade's rigorous curricula adhere to the N.Y. State standards and Diocesan instructional guidelines. Each classroom from kindergarten to grade eight at St. Peter's contains a SMART Board and the students are served by two newly-upgraded computer labs and a science lab. In addition, both school buildings are Wi-Fi enabled and a new pilot program has recently begun with the introduction of Google Chromebooks for grades six through eight. St. Peter's campus also includes a modern playground and a unique outdoor classroom amidst a tranquil setting. St. Peter's students enjoy a wide variety of fun and inspiring after-school activities including fine arts and performing arts programs and sports.
