- Mission
- The main campus of the university is adjacent to Interstate 81 in the City of Winchester, Virginia in the historic Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. The university's physical plant consists of 42 buildings including eight residence halls (805 beds), two leased facilities on the campus of the Winchester Medical Center, and another leased facility on the Northern Virginia campus in Leesburg, Virginia, approximately 45 miles east of Winchester. Shenandoah University is comprised of 6 academic schools or colleges: (1) the School of Health Professions offering baccalaureate, master's degree, post-master's certificates and the doctoral degree; (2) the Harry F. Byrd, Jr., School of Business offering certificate programs, baccalaureate and master's degrees; (3) the College of Arts and Sciences offering baccalaureate degrees; (4) Shenandoah Conservatory offering certificate programs, baccalaureate, master's and doctoral degrees; (5) the Bernard J. Dunn School of Pharmacy offering doctoral degrees, and (6) the School of Education and Human Development offering certificates, master's and doctoral degrees. The university offers 43 undergraduate and 29 graduate degree programs plus undergraduate, graduate, and post-graduate certificates. Doctoral degrees are granted in seven different areas.
