Pain,Posture & Performance
I have always been interested in health and the body. During my second year of college and still unsure of the healthcare direction I wanted to take, I lost a large portion of my eye sight to a rare mitochondrial disease called Leber’s Hereditary Optic Neuropathy. I am now considered legally blind. For a while, I assumed my health related career was impossible, but I was enlightened when I discovered the field of massage therapy and bodywork. Along my journey of training and learning, I have met and studied with mentors and bodyworkers who have strengthened my passion for bodywork and many who have taken me under their wing and taught me much of what I do today to help many people. I now feel that my vision disability is a strength to me in this field and enables me to be more in tuned with my work.
