Mira Mesa is a large community in central San Diego that was originally developed to meet the need for a rapid influx of the San Diego population. Mira Mesa is largely made of residential neighborhoods but has also expanded its businesses to support the growing population. With a variety of shopping, dining, and entertainment Mira Mesa is similar to many other San Diego communities. Since its founding, Mira Mesa has evolved into a busy community sought out for its prime location. While Mira Mesa isn’t one of San Diego’s coastal communities it is centrally located close to the beaches, Downtown, schools, and employment opportunities. Mira Mesa is home to Qualcomm, one of San Diego’s largest employers.
