Patrick James opened PJ Sleep Shop in 1974 making us the oldest mattress store in Portland, Oregon. Patrick has built this family operated business from scratch, he ran the store by day and worked at Fred Meyers during the evening. He has always put his heart and soul into his family's future with PJ Sleep Shop. At the age of 68 years young he has decided to retire and hand the reins over to his son Jeremy and wife Peggy.
OWNERS PEGGY AND JEREMY
HAVE OWNED RKC SLEEP SHOP FOR 23 YEARS. Peggy began the business on November 4th 1995 in our Beaverton apartment. We sold beds out of our apt and house for the next 14 years till we got our first store on King Rd in 2009. While it was a small 650 sq ft store we worked hard and made it a success. In October of 2016 we moved into our current location which is a 3100 sq ft warehouse, where we have more than 50 products on display. Peggy and Jeremy have lived in Milwaukie for 20 years and have raised 8 children. In 2017 we celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary.
