- No one under 18 years of age may register for a campsite or book a reservation Camping rate discounts apply to Illinois residents only The maximum length of camping stay is 14 nights in a 30 day period between May 1 and September 30 A minimum of 3 nights must be reserved for Memorial Day, Indepedence Day, and Labor Day weekends. Responsible use of alcohol is permitted in the park and campground All pets must be on a leash. Pet owners are responsible for cleanup of their animal's waste. The Park closes for day use visitors at 9:00PM Firewood Ban: It is illegal to bring firewood from out-of-state, or from a quarantine area or adjacent counties where wood exportation or movement has been prohibited by State or Federal Law. The maximum number of individuals per site is 4 adults, with or without children. Class A Campsites accommodate a maximum of 1 wheeled camper and 1 tent, or 2 tents. Groups of 25 or more are required to register at the visitor center in advance
