Award winning artist Michelle Woolley Sauter has been a professional artist for more than twenty years. She has produced works collected world-wide with a large and varied portfolio from original paintings on canvas and wood embellished prints tapestries and hand-painted original mirrors. Her work for Residential Commercial Hospitality and cleared artwork for TV and Media outlets for staging and design allows Michelle to touch many different aspects of the design process across multiple platforms. Michelle got her start designing furniture and artwork for Yacht Interior companies such as Ferretti of America who commissioned her for all their art installations for their boats in Ft. Lauderdale FL – an international hub for mega yachts and the yachting industry. Her work and influence can be seen in numerous hotels and private homes up and down the Atlantic Coast around the Caribbean Israel Thailand and even aboard Royal Caribbean’s Sovereign of the Seas. Michelle was commissioned by the Swarovski crystal family for their personal estate in North Palm Beach. She has designed entire lines for Tommy Bahama Stores International and wallpaper lines for the Nessen Showroom Tropical Wallpapers line at the Design Center for the Americas. Her work has also earned the prestigious award of First Place | Best in Show – at the Hortt Memorial Competition hosted by the Museum of Art Ft. Lauderdale. Creating large-scale painting installations for the City of Celebration Disney World International and being commissioned by designers for residential homes desiring framed original artwork all over South Florida are some of the highlights of her early years. Michelle’s ever expanding collection of watery abstracts that invoke ocean breezes and Low Country ‘scapes of dunes and seagrasses harken you to OBX and all the coastal Sea Islands in between. Influenced by all those field trips and the ability to soak up the very unique flavors up and down the coast she translates her travels and impressions into her interiors and onto the canvas as soon as she returns home to her busy Studio space where creativity expands and dreams flow so near and dear to her heart.
