- Nyack College is the only accredited Christian liberal arts college in the New York metropolitan area. Founded in 1882 and affiliated with The Christian & Missionary Alliance, Nyack is unique in the multicultural mix of its students. Representing more than 30 countries, 40 US states, and 30 denominations, they come together in a common commitment to Jesus Christ. Nyack offers more than 30 majors and focuses on practical preparation for ministry, missions, education, business, music, social work and other careers. The Rockland County campus borders a quaint village overlooking the Hudson River just 20 miles from the Manhattan campus.
