- Describe any green practices or products you use. - We earned our “Certified Green Building Professional” designation from the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) in 2008. We choose products and materials based on green content, as well as manufacturing processes. We offer several products that help our customers reach their green goals. We have examined every area in our company and have changed the way we do business (including how our payroll is processed) to reduce our carbon foot print. We have a dedicated part-time employee whose job is to sort 100% of our waste by metals, lumber and wood products, cardboard and paper, plastic and glass, into separate containers that are then sent to different reclyers, ending with very little waste. This person also reprocess some materials reducing the waste stream.
