Company description
Nakamoto Forestry is the largest producer of yakisugi (shou sugi ban) wood in the world. Our four mills are located in Hiroshima and Tokushima prefectures in western Japan, and North American distribution is from inventory in Portland, Oregon. Nakamoto Forestry has owned and managed large tracts of forest in Japan for decades, and our harvest teams supply logs to the mills for the milling of yakisugi wood. Nakamoto forestry is known for producing high-grade and affordable Japanese charred wood products. This charred wood millwork is used in traditional and modern design, and is installed by carpenters same as un-charred siding and paneling. It can be left black, or brushed and tinted to achieve a range of finishes. For complete details please visit our official website.
