- Mount St. Mary's, the oldest independent Catholic university in the United States, offers more than 60 academic majors, minors and concentrations that complement the University's distinctive core curriculum. Mount students participate in more than 70 clubs and honor societies as well as 19 varsity sports at the NCAA Division I level. Graduate programs are offered in Business, Education, Philosophy, Theology and Divinity. Accelerated undergraduate programs in business and criminal justice are offered off-campus in Frederick and Westminster, MD. The campus is located on 1,400 acres near historic Emmitsburg Maryland.
