- Because the resort is located in the Adirondacks, a scenic section of New York that encompasses the six-million acre Adirondack Park, there are many opportunities for guests to enjoy nature. The Inn's activities coordinator can arrange guided hikes, fly-fishing trips, rock climbing excursions, and cross-country skiing. In addition, the Inn offers a Children's Outdoor Adventure Program as well as classes including Animal Tracking anf Yoga for Kids. Other nearby activities include golf, downhill skiing, and exploring the antiques shops in the village of Lake Placid. At the resort itself, guests may enjoy a fitness center, indoor and outdoor pools, tennis courts, an outdoor ice-skating rink, and private lakefront beach with complimentary canoes and rowboats, or they may take a fitness walk, a yoga class, or an aqua aerobics class. The resort's 60-foot lap pool features a waterfall and a panoramic view of the lake and mountains beyond.

Other room types include the lakeside Adirondack Suite with the look and atmosphere of a deluxe outdoor camp., The View Restaurant offers casual dining by candlelight as well as hearty Adirondack breakfasts.
