More details
- Mission
- For more than 100 years, Millikin University has been teaching students to perform their knowledge in the classroom, on the stage, in the laboratory, and in internships. Millikin students are passionate, eager, motivated learners who use what they've learned in professional settings before graduation -- becoming better prepared for life after graduation. Millikin is a private, primarily undergraduate, 75-acre institution of 2,300 students. With four colleges and schools--the College of Arts and Sciences, Tabor School of Business, the College of Fine Arts, and the College of Professional Studies--and over 60 majors, minors, and pre-professional programs, Millikin prepares its students for professional success, democratic citizenship in a diverse and dynamic global environment, and a personal life of meaning and value. Millikin students learn to see the connections with other academic disciplines and understand the diversity of human experience, the interactions between technology and society. Millikin students learn about themselves and others, developing a respect for differences and for the dignity of all. Employers and graduate schools continue to prize Millikin graduates; 98% of Millikin's 2009 graduates gained professional employment or entered graduate/professional school within six months of graduation.
