Company description
Merton Auto Body has served the Waukesha County area for over 70 years. That long term success was built by passing the business on to those who know it best: our staff and families. John Rellatz opened Merton Auto Body in 1946 in a small garage in downtown Merton, eventually passing it on to his son, Ron, in the mid-70s. Ron relocated the business to a bigger building and hired Paul Schiellack and Steve Anderson, who in turn purchased the shop when Ron retired in 1995. It wasn’t long before they realized they needed a new, up-to-date facility to meet the demands of their customers and their increasingly complex vehicles. After five years of planning and construction, they opened the doors of our current shop, located on Moraine Drive, in 2003. Ryan Carriveau, who started work shortly after Paul and Steve took over the shop, took over the operation in 2014. As ownership has changed over the past decades, we’ve remained an independent, locally-owned and operated shop. In that time, we’ve continually updated our business, growing from a small garage into a full service auto body shop staffed by ASE and I-CAR certified technicians with the latest tools and techniques. We want to maintain our reputation for repair work that is done with the speed and quality that have made us a favorite of our customers. Looking to get your car fixed? Our free repair estimates are usually completed within 15 minutes of walking through the door, and our “keys to keys” average is just 2.7 days. That means in most cases, you can have your car back in a few days once you sign off on repairs. Best of all, we back all of our body work with a lifetime guarantee, so you know it will be done right.
