At McGeoghan Wealth Management And Financial Planning, I help my clients navigate the journey to an ideal life through comprehensive financial planning and effective oversight of their team of professionals.
I founded my own company in 2021, after spending almost 10 years in financial services with major insurance companies. I identified an opportunity to provide clients with unbiased, objective, fee-only, independent, holistic financial planning, and knew it was time I did something about it.
I am independent, meaning I am not tied to an investment company, bank, or insurance company, and I am free of conflicts of interest, and am registered with the States of Massachusetts, Connecticut, and other jurisdictions where exempt as a Registered Investment Advisor (RIA). My focus is on fee-only financial planning and helping you construct a roadmap to meet your goals, dreams, and aspirations. You can choose to take that plan and implement it on your own, with someone else, or with professionals I recommend; the plan is completely portable. What I provide is a service, not a product, and we’ll have an ongoing relationship and commitment that does not stop with one or two meetings. I evaluate the effectiveness of your plan periodically and meet with you to make sure the plan is being followed and executed to your satisfaction. Periodic meetings are important because life changes. My focus is on listening to you, absorbing all your desires, and servicing them to my fullest abilities.
I’m Michael, a Certified Financial Plannerᵀᴹ Certificant, and Chartered Financial Analystᵀᴹ Charterholder. I am married to the hardest working woman I know, and have three beautiful children. We currently reside in Florence, MA along with our two dogs. My happy family is what I consider my greatest achievement, and it is for them that I started in financial services, and now I want to help others care for their families. Before, I had no financial plan and had to ask myself tough questions: What happens if I decease my wife and children prematurely? How will they be taken care of? What if I were to be sick or sustain an injury outside of work for a prolonged period? Am I saving enough money for their education, and my own retirement? It was these questions, among others, that brought me to where I am today. It is my job to work collaboratively with you and give sound financial advice to help maximize your financial goals.
