Company description
Silvia Leiva Browne, the owner of Lolita Artisanal Bakery, was introduced into the baking world by her mother Dolores "Lolita" Gonzalez de Leiva.
Lolita, produced widely popular Alfajores and Pastries in their homeland of Argentina at their bakery shop.
That original store started in 1965 in Cosquin, a small town in the Sierras de Cordoba.
Lolita and Ricardo, Silvia's parents, lead and managed their business. The whole family always worked proudly, being part of the team, welcoming locals and tourists year round. Always baking and packing side by side with their loyal production workers, all throughout their 30 year business story.
To honor her mother's legacy, Silvia brings that baking experience from the family's traditional alfajores business to Lolita Artisanal Bakery, with much pride and passion.
Since 2014 Silvia has been baking the very same recipes with the support of her son, husband, and niece, initially selling at Farmer's Markets, and to selected local stores successfully.
By 2018 they opened their first retail shop in San Mateo, California, at Hillsdale Shopping Center.
This beautiful, loving tradition continues, family-owned and family-operated with the addition of a wonderful group of talented, energetic young women and men that are a very important part of the Lolita family team.
