Kirsten E. Bennett represents clients throughout New York and Connecticut, with a focus on Westchester, Putnam and Fairfield Counties. Ms. Bennett’s areas of practice include criminal defense, DWI/DUI defense, personal injury, real estate and probate matters. As a former prosecutor, Ms. Bennett has invaluable insight into how a case is looked at by the prosecuting authority, and is able to assist her clients in taking action to mitigate the potential charges they are facing or sentences which may be imposed. Ms. Bennett began her legal career as an Assistant District Attorney in Nassau County, the largest suburban prosecutor’s office in the country. As an A.D.A., Ms. Bennett prosecuted hundreds of felony and misdemeanor offenses including DWI/DWAI, violent crimes and white collar offenses. She received extensive training with respect to alcohol breath analysis and standardized field sobriety testing at the New York Prosecutor’s Training Institute. Due to her years as a prosecutor, she has a keen understanding of how a case will be viewed by the prosecuting authority, and what steps can be taken to mitigate the damages and achieve the most favorable outcome for each of her clients. Following her career with the District Attorney’s Office, Ms. Bennett joined an international insurance defense firm based in New York City. From 2005-2012, Ms. Bennett handled personal injury matters, defending her varied clients from allegations of liability. As an attorney in private practice, Ms. Bennett applies the experience and knowledge gained during those years to maximize the recoveries obtained by clients who have suffered an injury. Ms. Bennett has appeared in civil and criminal courts throughout the metropolitan area and has extensive litigation experience. Let her assist you in your time of need.
