Company description
King’s Christian School strives to provide a well-rounded, Christ-centered education in a small, loving environment. Since 1975, our dedicated faculty and staff have worked with parents to create a nurturing atmosphere in which learning flourishes and students are encouraged to fulfill their highest potential.
King’s Christian School has been utilized by the Lord to reach and train children for His glory since it was founded by the late Rev. Robert Miller in 1975.
After much prayer and deliberation, the Lord directed Pastor Miller and the Board of Elders at Southwest Community Church to begin a Christian school. It was clearly God’s will, and the Lord led the group to open the doors of King’s Christian School. At the time KCS consisted of a kindergarten with 32 students enrolled.
We started small in size, yet big in heart. King’s Christian School continues to operate for His glory nearly 50 years later. Through our long history we have seen many amazing things happen in His name including the grace sufficient to get us through challenge after challenge and continue to grow His Kingdom.
KCS is a ministry of Southwest Community Church. Accordingly, our school’s threefold mission is:
Learn:
To present each student with the claims of Christ in order that he or she might know Him as personal Savior and follow Him as Lord.
Grow:
To inspire students to achieve their full academic, social, physical, and spiritual potential.
Reach:
To challenge students to exercise their skills and knowledge to positively impact the world around them.
