I dreamed of living on Lake Leelanau or at least in Leelanau County for 30 years. When the last farmer sold his land for development in our neighborhood, my husband Shel and I said it was time to sell our house and leave our pharmacy business and build our home on the land we owned on Lake Leelanau.
