Company description
I have concentrated my practice on appellate and post-conviction relief for the past ten years. It is my credo to fight for rational and humane criminal justice, fairness and due process for all, including the least among us, who may have been convicted of wrongdoing.
Appellate advocacy is a craft and art, closely related to being a trial attorney, but unique in its special demands. It requires scholarly briefing, intensive preparation, and oral argument in dialogue with a panel of judges, for the purpose of convincing the panel that a conviction has been wrongfully obtained. It is my goal as an appellate lawyer to ensure justice and due process for persons convicted of crime and to obtain a reversal of any conviction which fails to meet the standards of fairness and the proper administration of justice guaranteed by the Constitutions of state and federal governments.
I bring the integrity, independence and expertise of forty-five years of experience practicing law, as a former prosecutor, as general counsel to a major construction company, and as a criminal defense attorney with extensive trial experience in courts throughout the Western United States.
