Company description
Whereby the world became aware of the beauty and sturdiness of the Hawaiian voyaging canoe Hokule’a thanks to “Malama Honua”, most people are still unaware of the multitude of different type outrigger canoes, voyaging canoes, war canoes, racing, surfing canoes which used and some still do ride the waves across the shores and highways of Polynesia but as well across Micronesia, Melanesia, around Taiwan where the initial Polynesian “Voyage” begun, and there where it ended, half-way across the globe, Madagascar. Here is a splendid display of such canoes built over the years by Francis Pimmel.
