Founded in 1979 by Ms. Peggy Hart Earle, Hartstrings represents an upscale girls' lifestyle brand that embodies the essence of classic American styling with a modern view. Hartstrings’ baby girl clothes builds its success on high quality, unique, age appropriate, coordinated sportswear and occasion dressing for girls' - baby to 12 years.
In 1986, Hartstrings’ baby boy clothes were introduced as a better quality, updated traditional boy's brand. The brand speaks to the high quality and design of its predecessor and sister brand, Hartstrings. Classic, family coordinated and age appropriate looks are an integral part of the DNA of these baby boys’ clothes. Though our boy's offering was previously being sold under the Hartstrings name, it proudly re-launched as Kitestrings for Spring 2012.
In 1997, kc parker was designed & introduced for the fashion savvy 8-12 year-old girl. Created as a way to capture the girl who had grown-up and out of Hartstrings baby girl clothes, kc parker is the middle ground for the parent and child; it balances traditional family values and pop culture/trends. Every-day and occasion wear, fashion and core basics, are all represented accordingly. Remembering its traditional roots, kc parker mixes it up through novelty fabrics and silhouettes.
On April 18th 2011, Parigi Enterprises LLC, a subsidiary of Parigi Group Ltd, a leading children's branded apparel company, purchased certain assets of the Hartstrings brand & name, in addition to assuming the leases of 23 retail outlet stores. The Little Maven by Tori Spelling line of baby boys’ and girls’ clothes was not among the assets acquired.
