- While the 109 guest rooms and five cottages are adequate, guests generally spend most of their time at the extensive spa or enjoying the surrounding area. Each room has a sunken living room and a private deck. There are beautiful ocean views from each of the dining rooms, which serve international cuisine as well as special spa menu items designed to help you lose weight or just eat healthfully. The Sea Grille offers fresh seafood harvested by the thriving local fishing industry. Caffe Monte serves Italian cuisine, while La Pasticceria offers, gourmet coffee, delicious desserts, and fresh fruit. During warmer months, you can dine on the European-style Garden Patios or try a picnic from the Beach Barge, set in the middle of the 1, 000-foot beach.

The spa at Gurney's Inn utilizes the soothing properties of the sea in its extensive thalassotherapy program that includes body treatments using seaweed products, walks in the fresh sea air, hydromassage in seawater, and exercise in heated salt water pools. The seawater pool, one of only a few in the country, is filled from the resort's own deep wells. - The resort's beach offers activities that range from volleyball to surfing to swimming. Guests can also explore on foot the beautiful shoreline for which Montauk is known.
