- Fitchburg State College has been designated as the site of the Leadership Academy. The college emphasizes the importance of leadership studies, service learning, civic responsibilities, ethical development, and international education. In the process the college encourages the development of the whole person and prepares students for careers that meet the needs of their varied communities. Our faculty members are scholar-teachers who employ a variety of pedagogies and modes of technological instruction to further such goals for all. In addition the college is committed to providing affordable, life-long learning opportunities in undergraduate, graduate, and continuing education.
