Company description
eWaste Security provides comprehensive data destruction and electronics recycling services. Our goal is to help clients reduce their liability associated with data privacy laws such as HIPAA, FACTA, FINRA, SOX, HITECH and GLBA. We provide hard drive and backup tape destruction, erasing, wiping and degaussing services to meet NIST 800-88 and DOD 5220.22-M as well as NSA guidelines.
eWaste Security offers secure onsite hard drive degaussing, erasing and physical destruction of:
- Hard drives (SAS, SATA & SCSI)
- Backup tapes (DLT, LTO-1-LTO-5, Exybyte, DAT and data cartridges)
- CDs, DVDs
- Thumbdrives
- Cell phones, smart phones (iPhone, Android and Blackberry)
All services comply with NIST 800-88 Guidelines for Media Sanitization.
eWaste Security is AAA Certified with the National Association of Information Destruction (NAID). NAID AAA Certification insures that our data destruction processes are according to the latest industry standards and are proven effective. NAID Certification also requires employees to be properly trained and screened and be subjected to a criminal background check and drug tested. NAID AAA Certification is often a required vendor specification in the U.S.; present in thousands of public sector contracts, and a countless number of many private contracts. Serious information service providers openly say that NAID AAA Certification is a virtual requisite for doing business in the hard copy destruction industry.
eWaste Security also offers full service electronics recycling. EPA estimates from 2009 showed that over 82 percent of e-waste discarded in the U.S. is still ending up in our landfills and incinerators, with only about 18 percent going to recyclers. You can do your part for the environment by setting aside all of your unwanted electronic equipment for pick up by eWaste Security. Our electronic recycling partners ensure that your used equipment will be repurposed, reused, and/or recycled in an environmentally friendly manner.
We can provide free electronics recycling pick up with a minimum data destruction order.
