EDUCATION
Dr. Komnick graduated from the University of Illinois, Chicago School of Medicine. He continued his medical education as an orthopedic resident at the same institution. This included six months of specialized pediatric training at Shriners Hospital for Children-Chicago. He is obtained Board Certification upon completing his residency and re-certified through 2023.

Dr. Komnick grew up in central Illinois and attended the University of Iowa. Dr. Komnick has been married for 25 years and has two adult children. His daughter, a senior at University of Illinois has the goal of attending medical school after graduation. His interests include following all sports, golf, travel and spending time with his family.
