Dr. Jill E. Furgurson , a native Californian, was noted to be artistically gifted early on in middle school. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of California, Berkeley in 1973. Instead of developing her artistic talents, she pursued a medical school education at the University of Southern California where she graduated with honors. She then went on to complete her Emergency Medicine residency training at UCLA.
