- Students attending or graduating from Doane invariably remark about its inclusive family-oriented approach to living and learning. Programs which support and encourage this positive atmosphere include: a comprehensive leadership program, featuring curricular development, nationally known speakers and experts, and alumni networking and mentoring; a $1000 travel scholarship for all matriculating students, to use on college-sponsored trips in the US or abroad; a four-year guarantee, with additional classes paid for by the college if not met; the nation's first teacher education warranty, guaranteeing hiring schools of the quality of Doane's graduates; and an honors program which requires study abroad.
