Danican is a contraction of the words Danish and American and is a Danish-based producer and designer of innovative bed products since the year 2000. Danican distributes its highly advanced mattresses, pillows and protectors in more than 30 countries around the world. Danican’s parent company, EverRest ApS has sales offices in Denmark, Spain, Germany, and the United Arab Emirates. In 2012, Danican started distribution in North America from the Atascadero, California US headquarters.
Danican Cares Program provides sets of mattress and pillow protectors to qualified shelters. Each protector set, called Danican Care Packages, include two pillow encasements , and one twin sized mattress encasement and two mattress protectors .The encasements are bed bug proof, dust mite proof and moisture proof, and protect pillows and mattresses from harmful bacteria and viruses. Dust mites and their waste make up to ten percent of the weight of a pillow after two to five years.
