Countryside Village located in the serine and peaceful country setting of Pikeville, North Carolina is just minutes from Goldsboro to the south and Wilson to the north. Wayne County's only stand alone assisted living community specializes in the care of individuals suffering with Alzheimer's disease and other memory loss disorders. The licensed 40-bed community is designed and specially staffed to accommodate seniors who require daily supervision or personal assistance in a secured environment, but who do not need the complex medical attention provided by a nursing home. Family owned and operated our goal is to create a safe, caring, and stimulating environment for our residents and to offer their loved ones peace of mind.
For those with memory impairment whether early-onset or developed, residents at Countryside Village enjoy all the amenities of home in an open floor plan design and an intimate setting offering each resident a secured environment to maximize their potential in a home-like environment. The community includes the largest secured outdoor courtyard for residents with memory impairments in the area. The courtyard includes walking pathways, raised gardens, a covered porch and a beautiful fountain for relaxation.
Countryside Village celebrates the spirit within each resident through personalized activities that encourage creativity and self-expression. We work with each resident individually, striving for small successes each day that help to create a sense of accomplishment. A full time Activity Director coordinates a full schedule of meaningful activities for the residents.
Residents at Countryside Village receive 24-hour care services under the direction of our Healthcare Coordinator, a registered nurse. In addition each resident receives three balanced meals and snacks per day with menus designed by a registered dietician, daily housekeeping and laundry services all within a safe and secured environment.
Countryside Village also offers on-site medical services through various physician groups alleviating the need to transport residents to routine doctor appointments since they can be performed in-house. These services are particularly beneficial to residents suffering from Alzheimer's and other memory impairments as it minimizes the stress on the resident and long days waiting at the doctor's office.
