- In addition to the camping fee, an entrance fee is required at all state parks! Stagecoach State Park offers minimal shade. It is recommended visitors bring their own shade shelters. Please call the park for specific details. Due to construction, the Stagecoach Reservoir level will need to be lowered significantly this summer. Water levels will begin to lower around July 15th, 2010 and will continue to go down through September 1st, 2010. The goal is to have the water level down 10 feet just prior to Labor Day weekend in September. The Morrison Cove boat ramp on the South side of the reservoir will close for the season on August 13th, 2010 and the boat ramp at the marina will close for the season on September 7th, 2010. Prior to these closures, boats over 20' may have difficulties launching. Launching at any water level is at your own risk. Shortly after Labor Day, water levels will begin dropping again and NO BOAT RAMPS WILL BE AVAILABLE AT STAGECOACH STATE PARK AFTER LABOR DAY. Although the boat ramps will be closed, hand launch water craft such as canoes, kayaks, and belly boats will be allowed until the reservoir begins to freeze. Unforeseen low water hazards may also exist throughout the summer. In addition, the swim beach will be closed to all use effective September 7th, 2010 through the remainder of the season. Finally, some trail closures will exist throughout summer starting as early as August 1st 2010. Beach and trails closures are a result of the construction project. It is unknown what exact dates certain sections of trail will be closed, but this information will be posted on the park website. Please visit www.parks.state.co.us for updates on park conditions.
