- Eleven Mile Reservoir is open for boating. Witcher's Cove Boat Ramp closed for the season on 9/6/2010, the North Shore Boat Ramps do remain open for use. Boats must be inspected for zebra & quagga mussels and other aquatic nuisance species (ANS) prior to launch, and must only launch at designated boat ramps. Visit www.100thmeridian.org for more information on ANS. To speed up inspections, please make sure boats are CLEAN (no mud, vegetation etc.); DRAINED (all live wells, bilges, and ballast tanks should be empty); and DRY. Boats may only be operated from 1/2 hour before sunrise to 1/2 hour after sunset. Boat ramps are physically closed at night. Boat rentals are available from the marina concessionaire, 11-Mile Sports. In addition to the camping fee, an entrance fee is required at all state parks! Eleven Mile State Park is located in South Park, a high alpine meadow at 8600 feet above sea level. Most areas lack trees but provide panoramic views of surrounding mountains or granite outcrops. Shade may be naturally provided by trees and other vegetation in some areas, particularly within some sites in Rocky Ridge C & E loops and the Back Country campsites. Please call the park for specific details. Specific fishing and boating regulations exist for this park. The reservoir is now completely full. Water sports such as swimming, wading, tubing and waterskiing are prohibited. There are no fire bans currently in effect within Eleven Mile State Park but conditions have been very dry. Please use extreme caution. Fires are only permitted in the park-provided fire rings and grills and must be attended at all times. Fire conditions can change quickly, so please contact the park office at (719) 748-3401 for the most up-to-date information.
