- The College of Notre Dame of Maryland educates women leaders to transform the world. Established in 1897, Notre Dame is grounded in a deep sense of history, distinctino and relevance. The College of Notre Dame of Maryland was the first Catholic women's college in the country to award the four-year baccalaureate degree. The new School of Pharmacy, welcoming its inaugural class in fall 2009, is the first Pharmacy program in the country offered at a women's college. The undergraduate Women's College remains the core of the institution with distinctive Ph.D., master and bachelor programs for women and men extending the reach of the College.
