- Mission
- "The professors take time to get to know us." That comment is the theme of responses to the "faculty" section of the Chapman University Student Satisfaction Survey. This comes from students who are being challenged by and engaged in a campus environment that addresses the four pillars of a Chapman education - intellectual, physical, social, and spiritual. Chapman University's mission is to provide personalized education of distinction that leads to inquiring, ethical and productive lives as global citizens. This mission is expressed by joint undergraduate students/faculty research, small class size, caring faculty who are involved with students, and an expansive breadth of academic programs. Students have the opportunity to study abroad for a semester, to engage in international internships, and to participate in full-time faculty led short-term travel courses around the world. The University is offering a wider variety of interdisciplinary courses and encourages students to enroll in these courses so that they learn how issue facing the nation and the world today are interconnected and are outside the scope of a single discipine.
