More details
- Mission
- Founded in 1873 as a Christian liberal arts college and affiliated since 1920 with the Mississippi Baptist Convention, Blue Mountain College promotes the development of intellectual integrity, academic excellence, social awareness, and Christian character. The college offers a variety of undergraduate majors and one graduate program in elementary education. Known for its undergraduate programs in education and preparation for broad-based ministry, the institution is a liberal arts college, not a Bible-college even though Bible classes are required of each graduate. The institution attracts students who are committed to scholarship, servant leadership, and service in church and community. The student-centered campus with a low faculty-student ratio exhibits a climate of personal attention, respect, inclusion and high expectations.
