- Firewood Notice: Currently, firewood is not allowed on Wisconsin State Park, Trail or Forest properties from out of state or from more than 25 miles away from the destination campground. In addition, firewood that has been in a Wisconsin EAB quarantined area is not allowed on properties outside of the quarantined area. Please buy firewood nearby or at the property you are going to. Call the DNR toll-free Firewood Hotline 1-877-303-WOOD (9663) for information before packing for a trip. There are three different campgrounds that are reservable; Castle Mound, East Fork, and the Indoor Group Camp. The Service and Amenities Listed are for the Castle Mound Campground. East Fork does not have a dump station, flush toilets, handicap access, shelter or showers. Reservations: 2010: Castle Mound - 05/14 to 09/26. (Campground is First-Come/First-Serve when not on reservations) East Fork - 05/27 to 09/07. Indoor Group Camp - year round. Reservations: 2011: East Fork - 05/26 to 09/05. Indoor Group Camp - year round. Castle Mound campground will not be taking reservations for 2011 until January 2011 A permit for backpack camping is required. Vehicle admission stickers are required.
