- Firewood Notice: Currently, firewood is not allowed on Wisconsin State Park, Trail or Forest properties from out of state or from more than 25 miles away from the destination campground. In addition, firewood that has been in a Wisconsin EAB quarantined area is not allowed on properties outside of the quarantined area. Please buy firewood nearby or at the property you are going to. Call the DNR toll-free Firewood Hotline 1-877-303-WOOD (9663) for information before packing for a trip. CANCELLATION POLICY: Reservations cannot be cancelled online. There will be a fee of $8.00 to change the SITE, or the START DATE, or to SHORTEN THE END of your reservation. To change ALL the dates of your reservation you must cancel and then re-book, and a $5.00 cancellation fee and the non-refundable $10.00 reservation fee will be charged. You cannot EXTEND THE DEPARTURE DATE of your reservation until you arrive at the park. Cancellations made after 3:00 PM Central Time, 48 hours prior to your arrival date, will also be charged the first nights use fee. A change to this law is expected to be in force by May of 2010, reducing the distance to 25 miles away from a state campground destination. Closed to all camping: 11/01/10 On June 26, 2011 a triathlon will be held in the Park. Vehicle admission stickers are required.Click here for cost of the sticker. Between early May and mid June for one day there will be aerial spraying for Gypsy Moths in the early morning hours, areas of the park may include the campground. The aerial spraying is not harmful to humans and visitors can go to website http://gypsymoth.wi.gov/ . Or they can call the 1800-642-MOTH info line or more information.
