Axe Pictures is a creative film house that was formed in 2007 in Casablanca, Morocco by mother and daughter filmmakers, Malika Frikouk and Hanaa Saleh Alfassi. Now with branches in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia (2009) and Los Angeles, California (2015) co-founded by Editor and Post Producer Shannon Emigh.Axe recently produced music videos, commercials and short films including The Last Sohour, a short film that was officially selected in 20+ festivals and counting, including the VGIK Festival in Russia, winning 2 awards and was also shown in The Short Film Corner at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival. Lollipop, which is partially funded by ENJAAZ and an Official Selection at the Dubai Film Festival 2017. Two feature productions are currently in development.
