Avanza Training is owned and operated right here in Colorado Springs. "Avanza" means to promote or move forward. We are a professional, educational institute using innovative techniques dedicated to preparing future Caregivers: Personal Care Workers (PCW) and Nursing Aides (CNA) for success in YOUR chosen career. As a Caregiver, you provide compassionate care for the elderly, wounded veterans, adults with developmental disabilities, and children with special needs. The projected growth rate for Caregivers is expected to explode by 2020, as our population continues to age. According to the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics, the job growth is expected to be 70% for PCWs (10 times the national average) and 20% for CNA (two times the national average). As a PCW or CNA, you will NEVER be out of a job!
We are a private school, which specializes in providing the "personal touch." We are excited to open in a new location, with an energized staff, dedicated program coordinator, and highly-qualified instructors. We have a 2200 square foot, stand-alone location. Our location has many unique features, which includes a student lounge and a break room. We have a kitchenette with a full-sized refrigerator, microwave, sink, and beverage vending machine ($0.75). We offer FREE coffee, hot chocolate, hot tea, filtered water, and microwave popcorn.
Our training classrooms and skills training rooms comfortably accommodate a full class. We have two sets of training classrooms and skills training rooms: one for PCW students and one for CNA students. We have advanced training materials, and incorporate the latest technologies into our classrooms. We also offer open office times where students may practice their skills. Our goal is to offer high quality training, while meeting the needs of our students who have other life priorities.
