Our veterinary clinic and animal hospital is run by Dr. Brian Waldo, who is a licensed, experienced Bedford veterinarian. Animal Care Clinic provides: general Veterinary care, routine examinations and vaccinations, heart worm and flea preventatives, regenerative medicine and non traditional holistic medicine, allergy care, and boarding. Our team is committed to educating clients about how to keep pets healthy year round with good nutrition and exercise. Animal Care Clinic stays on top of the latest advances in veterinarian technology and above all, truly believes that all animals and pets need to be treated with loving care in every check-up, procedure, or surgery. Our clinic was founded in 1985 and has enjoyed the privilege of caring for the local animal population for over 30yrs. At Animal Care Clinic your pet’s health and comfort is our top priority. We believe in individualized, personal attention for all of our patients. From “Cat Only Days” to our “Extended Patient Comfort Exam” option, we are always looking for ways to provide your pet with a relaxing and comfortable environment during their visit. In addition to personalized attention, your pet will benefit from the extensive treatment options available at Animal Care Clinic. Your doctor will utilize their training in a variety of areas of veterinary medicine. With additional training and certification in Canine Rehabilitation, Animal Chiropractic, Acupuncture, Traditional Chinese Herbal Therapy and Therapeutic Laser Therapy, you are assured that the doctors will offer the best in treatment choices. Our goal is for you and your pet to become our “Friends for Life” as we partner together for your pet’s health. Dr. Brian Waldo Dr. Brian was raised in Bedford, attended Purdue University where he majored in Biochemistry, and attended Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine graduating in 1983. That same year he married his high school sweetheart. Returning home to open the Animal Care Clinic with Dr. Julie Waldo, he applied his experience and training to providing compassionate care for his patients. Dr. Brian has an adventurous side and enjoys scuba diving and traveling. Some of his most memorable travels included trips to Ireland, Russia, and Caribbean Islands. He also obtained his private pilots license with several hours of acrobatic training. He is most proud of his two children who are now both enrolled in their respective colleges and are pursuing their own educational dreams. His animal children include 3 dogs and 3 cats, two of which are very active Border Collies. Dr. Julie Waldo A native of Lawrence County, Julie has always had a heart for animals. She grew up showing Quarter Horses and enjoyed 4-H for many years. Julie attended Purdue University and received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1985. She and Brian returned to Bedford to open the Animal Care Clinic. She took a hiatus from daily practice to homeschool their two children. As she returned to full time practice, she brought additional training and certification in Medical Veterinary Acupuncture to the practice and is currently studying Traditional Chinese Veterinary Herbal Therapies. Julie enjoys the opportunity to share her passion for acupuncture and herbal treatment options with her patients.
